Collaboration with industry, commerce and the service sector is an important aspect in the development of research. Our research groups and professors have on-going applied research contracts with major industrial partners. They also undertake development work and consultancy with small and medium sized enterprises in the Rhine-Main Region (around Frankfurt) and throughout Germany. A number of projects are supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research as well as the Hessen State Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts.
