Today, the telecommunications industry faces a paradigm change from the traditional circuit-switched systems to the more flexible packet-switched systems which are represented by IP systems and technology. Voice-over IP is beginning to supersede the well-established telephone technology and IP systems will be the basis for data communications in nearly all wireless systems.
Our Master programme ICE takes this evolution into account with both core groups of modules Communications and Components and Internet Networks and Protocols. Our international graduate MSc course ‘Information and Communication Engineering’ opens access to international careers in a wide field of applications ranging from the telecommunications industry to the automotive sector as well as interesting positions in Research and Development (with the possibility to follow up with a PhD) and higher level services of German employers. The additional language and cultural dimensions provide for a positive advantage in the jobs market, granting you entry at an international level.
The MSc course is intended for applicants who have already obtained a Bachelor’s degree or a German Diplom in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering or degree courses with similar subject areas with a mark not lower than ‘good’ and qualifications equivalent to a score of at least 210 Credit points ECTS.As our postgraduate programme has an international orientation and is therefore taught in English, we ask for proficient language skills in English as well as basic language skills in German as you will be living and working in Germany.
